The Cavendish School is very proud to be relaunching as a brand new academy in September 2018, as part of the Future Academies Trust. The successful candidate will be an exceptional teacher and an inspirational leader with a commitment to professional development. You will be responsible for ensuring every student achieves academic excellence.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the first year group of a new academy and play a key part in developing a culture of academic excellence.
As we join Future Academies we will need to grow our EBacc offer in our curriculum throughout the school. With this in mind and a higher intake for our Year 7 in September 2018, we will need to increase our staff body in certain subjects.
The Year 7 students starting here in September 2018 will be the flagship year group for our new academy. This will be your opportunity to mould our new students in line with the academy’s vision and develop a strong culture of knowledge, aspiration and respect. To support the relaunch of the school, the Headteacher is providing five full INSET days at the start of the academic year. This will provide the opportunity for every teacher to have comprehensive training around all aspects of their role in order to start the year feeling confident and fully prepared.
You will be responsible for providing the best possible pastoral care that will enable every student to achieve academic excellence. You will be an exceptional teacher and an inspirational leader with a commitment to professional development. In turn, we will offer you opportunities to develop and the support you need to advance your career in the direction you wish to go.
We welcome visits to the school to discuss the role further and to provide you with a deeper understanding of our values and our vision for the future.
