We are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Year to join our Pastoral Team.  In this individual we want to see drive and determination, someone who is proactive, a self-starter, who is enthusiastic and above all enjoys working with young people.  As Head of Year you will be on hand to support the learning and behaviour of students, to help them identify any barriers to learning and work with them to overcome these in order for them to achieve their full potential.  

This role is challenging and will give the right person a chance to make it their own, be a key part of a busy Secondary School and make a real difference to the lives of our students.  

This is an exciting time to join Spen Valley High School as we build upon our many strengths and develop a truly coherent provision for our students.  You will work alongside a team of highly professional & dedicated staff who are welcoming, open-minded and supportive.
