Roedean is at a very exciting time in its development, with strong and positive growth in pupil numbers, development of first class facilities across the site and the launch of the Roedean Group of Schools. We welcome your interest in being part of our continuing journey.
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to become a Head of Year. This is a great opportunity for a talented teacher to provide professional leadership and management across a year group, effective pastoral support and secure high quality learning outcomes. Roedean pupils are exceptionally well-behaved, highly motivated to succeed academically and demonstrate care and compassion for others. Your leadership will help them to further develop their self-confidence and challenge themselves to be the very best they can be.
While the role would suit a current Head of Year we are keen to attract applicants whose experience will not, as yet, cover all aspects of the role. Our experienced Senior Leadership Team will provide the training and 1-1 mentoring to enable you to excel in the role. The position would also suit someone keen to develop the depth of experience to prepare themselves for a pastoral leadership role within the next 1-2 years. The Head of Year will teach approximately 10 – 12 periods per week.
Please download an application pack from our website (www.roedean.co.uk/Vacancies) or contact Louisa Butler, via email@example.com or 01273 667657.
Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any time.
Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
