It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the GCSE successes of our two founding cohorts to ensure our next cohort get their best possible results in 2019, whilst also establishing our new Sixth Form into its second year.
As part of our growth plan, we are now seeking an aspirational middle leader with an ambitious vision for the Head of Year role.
Working with the AHT pastoral, the successful candidate will impact on student learning, progress and wellbeing by leading on outstanding attendance, punctuality and behaviour for learning. The successful candidate should have at least three years’ experience as a successful tutor and will be either well-versed in the application of character education or keen to learn rapidly as this is a crucial part of our approach.
The role offers an opportunity for successful candidates to develop as a middle leader and serve in an ‘outstanding’ Church school with exceptional students.
We are looking for a colleague who will join one of our highly successful and hard-working departments. If you can deliver rigorous English, Mathematics or Science teaching to our GCSE students, and preferably are ready to teach A-Level, we want to hear from you. Alternatively, you might be a Business and Economics Teacher and want to also play a key role in this burgeoning department. You will also be prepared to teach a small number of PSHE lessons, lead Collective Worship once per week and have exciting ideas for extra-curricular clubs.
The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values – we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or lack of it. However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.
