Head of Year - Grade 9

Full Time - Term Time + 15 days

This is a permanent position, to commence as soon as possible. 


This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague to join our highly effective team of non-teaching staff. The Head of Year has pastoral responsibility. This includes the tracking of individual academic progress towards challenging targets.


Key qualities/skills include:

• Ability to set very high standards for the team

• Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents

• A calm and purposeful approach to supporting young people


Royds Hall Community School is a successful and over-subscribed community school which encompasses Royds Hall Secondary, Royds Hall Primary and Beech Primary on its own site; currently catering for approximately 1200 students aged 3 – 16, with a national reputation for innovation and excellence.

SHARE Multi Academy Trust currently consists of Shelley College, Thornhill Community Academy, Royds Hall Community School, Whitcliffe Mount School, Heaton Avenue Primary School, Millbridge Primary School, Lily Park Primary School, Luck Lane Primary School, Woodside Green Primary School with a view to continue to expand.
