Ipsley is a thriving middle school with the local community at its heart. Since becoming an academy, the school has grown in pupil numbers and reputation – we are now officially oversubscribed.  

We are seeking to appoint a strong Head of Year to join our excellent Student Support team.  You will organise and manage a year group of approximately 160 pupils, liaising with parents / carers as well as external agencies on all aspects of pastoral care and be fully supportive of the inclusive ethos of the school.   


The successful candidate will possess:

• Experience of working with young people

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills when dealing with pupils, parents, staff and external   agencies

• Excellent organisational skills

• The ability to take a leading role within a team

• Ability to analyse data and plan accordingly

• Ability to use ICT effectively

• Ability to prioritise and take initiative

• Willingness to support the school’s Christian values and ethos
