The Holgate Academy are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Head of Year to contribute to raising achievement, attendance and behaviour for students.  This opportunity is linked to a current teacher vacancies at the academy, and is only suitable for candidates that are also experienced Teachers of Maths.

You will provide pastoral care for students and be the first port of call for parents and carers, work closely with attendance and behaviour leads to co-ordinate interventions for students and track progress and lead a team of Form Tutors in encouraging student's academic, emotional and social well-being.

We are looking for an experienced leader who is:  


 

  • A qualified Teacher of Maths with a passion for their subject      
  • Able to actively promote high standards of behaviour and attendance     
  • Able to motivate, inspire and support our committed team of tutors      
  • Confident in building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and gaining the trust of students, parents and carers      
  • Able to actively promote pride and involvement in the year group, house and academy life.

A warm welcome to The Holgate Academy careers site. We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre.
