Telford Priory School is a vibrant and forward-thinking academy for students from 11 – 16 years of age, located in Telford. The school became a proud member of the Learning Community Trust in March 2024. Our modern, newly designed academy was built as part of the building schools for the future and has the most amazing facilties to support learning and our superb enrichment programmes.

As the new Principal, I bought into the vision and ambition that the Learning Community Trust outlined. Both the LCT and of course, myself, have the highest of ambitions for the academy and want to build on the solid foundations laid over recent years. The Trust is providing a platform for change by investing significant finances into the remodelling of the building and to expand the staffing body in order to push TPS to be the best secondary school in the area.

As part of this drive, the trust is determined to make TPS the very heart of its community. Through this community approach we know that our parents, students and staff will work tirelessly to move our outcomes and more importantly, our students school lived experience into an outstanding provision. In order to achieve this, the Trust will promote the same features that have brought such positives across its body of schools, with a culture of success in creating young adults that are well respected within our society.

We are seeking an inspirational Head of Year, who is dynamic and passionate, to work with our students to overcome social, emotional and behavioural issues to enable them to be the best they can be. The successful candidate will be committed to our values and ethos, have the ability to lead staff and students and make a wide and varied contribution to overall life at this busy and vibrant school.  The post-holder will have the opportunity to establish a year group identity and a sense of belonging for students during the transition period.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea Bell
