Job overview

Newton College, one of Latin America’s leading bilingual IB continuum schools, invites applications for the position of Head of School, a strategic and inspiring leadership opportunity at a values-driven institution committed to academic excellence, innovation, and global citizenship.

Founded in 1979 and located in Lima, Newton College educates over 1,250 students from Early Years through Upper School. The College blends British-heritage rigour with humanistic, international learning, offering the full IB continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) in a bilingual Spanish-English environment. Newton’s purpose, to inspire and develop each student to be the best version of themselves, happy and successful in any part of the world, is reflected in its vibrant curriculum, inclusive culture, and commitment to sustainability and social action.

The College’s 11-hectare campus, nestled beside a lake and the foothills of the Andes, features outstanding facilities including a theatre, science labs, sports fields, and a dedicated Amazon Field Centre for ecological research and conservation education. Newton is a member of GAIL, LAHC, the British Schools of Peru, and ADCA, reflecting its international standing and collaborative ethos.

Reporting directly to the School Board, the Head of School will lead Newton College as one integrated, purpose-driven institution. This is a rare opportunity to lead a school that’s deeply committed to innovation, wellbeing, and global citizenship. The successful candidate will be a values-driven leader with a strong track record in educational leadership, a deep understanding of the IB, and the ability to unite a bilingual, multicultural community around a shared purpose. Spanish is a plus, but not essential, what matters most is cultural agility, emotional intelligence, and a passion for empowering others.
