O Castro British International School was founded in 2008 as the first international school in Galicia. The school is situated in Mos, a town close to the city of Vigo.

O Castro British International School offers an education that is designed to nurture confidence and a sense of personal responsibility in its students, promoting imagination and creative thought, personal and emotional balance, self-discipline and the ability to learn independently. The school also focuses on developing a sense of social and ecological awareness, preparing our students to become responsible, compassionate and successful members of the wider international community.

The best way to learn a language is through total immersion, and at O Castro British International School the principal language for teaching and learning is English.  Students are supported by a highly qualified team of professional educators, a large percentage of whom have had recent teaching experience in the United Kingdom. O Castro’s philosophy is that education should be a positive and stimulating experience which instils a lifelong passion for learning; students, their families, teaching and non-teaching staff alike are all involved in helping the children to achieve their long-term learning goals.

O Castro British International School runs complete sports programmes and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Since joining Globeducate in 2017, O Castro’s students also get the opportunity to participate in Globeducate’s unique programme of international exchanges and events, which have proved to be very popular and extremely successful.
