Job overview

School Council is seeking a successor to Ken James who is moving overseas after five years of exceptional service.

Red House is a wonderful school, for boys and girls between 3 and 16 years, in the beautiful village of Norton on Teesside.  It provides an excellent, inspirational, holistic education to 340 pupils.  Results at GCSE are excellent, as is the pastoral care offered to our pupils.  The children also participate in an extensive co-curricular programme and Red House sees considerable success in sport.

The Head has overall responsibility for both the Junior School and the Senior School, supported by a Senior Management Team which currently consists of the Deputy Head/Head of the Senior School, the Head of the Junior School, the Head of Finance & Compliance and two Assistant Heads, Pastoral and Academic.

The next Head will be an experienced school leader, most likely a serving head or deputy head.

Further details and the school application form can be found below.

Closing date for applications: Friday 7 May (9am).

First round interviews: between Wednesday 12 and Tuesday 18 May (via Microsoft Teams).

Second round interviews: Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May.  Candidates will be required to attend in person.
