Cranleigh Prep School has enjoyed sustained success in recent years, and is renowned for its vibrant supportive community, academic success and excellent breadth of co-curricular opportunities.  With the departure of the current Headmaster, who is leaving to lead Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, the Governing Body and Head of Cranleigh School are seeking to appoint another outstanding individual to lead the Prep School.  This new appointment will reflect a step change in the way in which the Prep School and its Senior School sibling will seek to work together, in recognition that there may be further ways in which the two schools can make more of their already close working relationship.  This will be done whilst retaining the Year 3 – 8 structure at the Prep School which has a mix of day and boarding provision.  

The new Head of Cranleigh Prep School will be a confident and proven leader, with sufficient experience and presence to be the Head of their own school, operating in a competitive market.  In addition, he/she will wish to collaborate with the Senior School and work comfortably as part of a wider leadership team providing strategic direction for the Cranleigh Schools as a pairing.  As such, whilst the new Head will have autonomy to run their own school as they see fit, they will report to the Head of Cranleigh School, thus maximising the advantages of the connection.  

This is a genuinely exciting time to join the School, and the Governing Body and Head of Cranleigh School are ambitious to make an outstanding appointment to ensure that the Prep School continues to thrive, and that the two schools working together can further enhance the reputation for excellence that Cranleigh enjoys.
