Amesbury, based in Hindhead, Surrey provides independent co-education for pupils aged from two to thirteen years. It is the gateway to the best senior day and boarding schools in the country.

At the heart of the School stands a Grade 2* building, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, but investment has ensured that all the facilities meet the expectations of pupils, parents and staff in the 21st century.

There have only been nine Headmasters of Amesbury since its foundation in 1870 so this represents a very rare and exciting opportunity to lead a school that has built a reputation for excellence across every measure. Nigel Taylor, the current Head, is stepping down after 24 years of outstanding work building the school into the success story it is today.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a charismatic and ambitious school leader to grow in this new role and to lead the School through its next stages of development. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate commitment to the aims, ethos and values of Amesbury.

He or she will be very well supported by an experienced board of governors and a pro-active and collaborative senior leadership team.
