Head Teacher

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen at Cornhill Primary School. The school is situated in the North West of Aberdeen and provides for children from an area of mostly local authority housing. Cornhill Primary is part of the St Machar Associated Schools Group in line with local authority zoning guidelines.

The current school roll is 405, with a further 120 pupils in the nursery. The school has two Depute Head Teachers. There are 15 classes (including a composite class) and three 20 place morning and afternoon nursery sessions. The school has a range of pupils from those who attain at the highest level to those who require significant additional support. A large number of pupils who do not have English as their first language are supported by the English as an Additional Language Service.

Cornhill Primary School works with a number of partner services and agencies to support young people and families.
