Teaching ServiceEvans High School is an innovative, comprehensive school which is based in Blacktown. It hosts the Evans Intensive English Centre, the Return to School Centre serving Western Sydney and a Support Unit which caters for students with an Autism diagnosis. Our highly dynamic and experienced team of staff support a diverse student body to transition to a range of post-schooling destinations including university, TAFE and to work.
Over 650 students, of whom 28 are ATSI and 68% EAL/D, are catered for in innovative learning environments which are enhanced by state-of-the art technology. There are focused and supportive Middle and Senior school learning programs through which students are challenged to achieve their goals, grow as leaders and develop into co-operative, polite and responsible young people.
This position includes the employment and management of casual and temporary teachers, student attendance, timetabling, beginning teachers' program and also has the supervison of the PDHPE Faculty and a teaching load in Social Science HSIE.
1. Proven ability to case manage complex student attendance cases, working with the HSLO, SCOUT and external agencies to improve student attendance
2. Demonstrated ability to manage the administration and employment of casual, temporary and underload staff
3. Demonstrated ability in timetabling with the capacity to use Edval and Sentral to equitably manage school staffing and administration
4. High level of organisational and interpersonal skills to lead and manage across the school
5. Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work as an effective member of the school executive team to lead, manage and implement programs and initiatives that improve student engagement and outcomes
