The Role

Due to a change in personal circumstances of the present Head Teacher, there is a unique opportunity for an experienced, inspirational and highly motivated leader to take this confident, successful and popular standalone academy into the future. The school has a strong, dynamic and forward thinking staff body and is in a healthy financial position. The successful candidate will be expected to build upon the solid foundations already laid by the present Head Teacher and staff.

Hurst is a three-form entry school which is fortunate to have substantial green spaces, including a wooded nature area. The school has high expectations for its children. Our children are happy, articulate, confident, and enthusiastic about what they do both academically and through the wide variety of sporting and creative opportunities available to them. Parents are overwhelmingly positive in their views of the school.

The school was rated ‘Good’ in our last Ofsted inspection (March 2017). Hurst continues to refine its offerings while embodying the school values and, with students, staff and governors we look forward to continuing this journey together.
