Head Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen, with our current Headteacher retiring in summer 2026, to lead Tiverton School into its next phase of development.

This is a opportunity to build on strong foundations in a school where children are truly at the centre of everything we do. With a dedicated staff team, a supportive governing body, and a nurturing, inclusive culture already in place, we are looking for a leader who will continue our journey with clarity, compassion and ambition.

As Headteacher, you will be the driving force behind the school’s continued success and future development.

You will:

• Set a clear and compelling vision for the school’s next phase

• Lead and inspire a committed staff team to deliver exceptional outcomes champion high-quality, inclusive SEND provision for pupils with complex needs.

• Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing and dignity are at the forefront of all decisions.

• Build strong partnerships with families, the Local Authority and external agencies.

• Drive continuous improvement through strategic leadership and effective use of data.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a well-established special school with a strong reputation, while shaping its future direction with confidence and creativity.
