The Governors of Hill Top school are seeking to appoint an exceptional and committed Head Teacher with resilience, vision and inspiration to continue our journey of improvement.  We are very proud of our "Good" Ofsted rating June 2018 and have high aspirations and expectations for further and improved outcomes for our pupils.

Hill Top is a secondary special school for pupils age 11-19 years. It is a school for pupils with learning difficulties and some pupils have, in addition, emotional and behavioural needs. We also have a provision for pupils with autism and complex needs. We are located in Felling Gateshead and we receive pupils from across Gateshead borough.   Our curriculum ensures that our children, who come from a wide range of backgrounds, have exceptional opportunities to excel and access exciting opportunities beyond school to develop their physical, social and emotional well-being.

Hill Top school is in hard federation with Dryden special school.
