Winchcombe School is a successful and thriving academy for students aged 11 to 16 years. 

We are a tight-knit and caring school, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Our pupils’ attitudes to learning are highly positive and they participate willingly and with interest in all aspects of school life.  We are a vibrant and forward-thinking school with well-established community links and strong partnerships with parents. The School is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and on a secure improvement trajectory. The new Headteacher will be responsible for delivering the vision and setting a positive platform from which to launch the next phase of the School’s development and build on its good reputation.

We need an exceptional leader to drive us towards an ‘outstanding’ rating who: -

Winchcombe School is a mixed secondary school for children aged 11-16. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, the school was formerly a foundation school but converted to academy status in June 2011. There are less than 500 students on the school roll.

The facilities on offer at Winchcombe School are continually being improved and land has been acquired adjacent to the school to nearly double the size of the school playing fields. Other enhancements in recent times have included the extension and refurbishment of the school hall and an overhaul of its computer network structure to facilitate the delivery of the latest ICT technologies to pupils.
