We are pleased to be advertising for a Head teacher at an exciting time in Roebuck Academy’s journey to becoming an outstanding primary school. We are confident that Roebuck Academy is in a really strong position as it enters the next stage of its development. You will inherit a dedicated staff team who are passionate about developing the next generation of learners. Roebuck is a two form entry school with a morning nursery located in South Stevenage. The school expanded to two-form entry in September 2015 with an additional Reception class joining the school each year for the next seven years. The school is a state of the art building with an impressive hall, a media room with IT facilities and library, a music room, a dining room, a Before and After School Club and classrooms which all have teaching walls and the latest interactive SMART touchscreens. The Key Stage 2 block of eight brand new classrooms opened in October 2015. The school became an Academy in July 2017 and joined the Hart Schools Trust as the first Flagship Primary School. The school has extensive, well-maintained grounds. We have achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award, Enhanced Healthy Schools status, Arts Champion status, Artsmark Gold and Sainsburys Sports Games silver award, amongst others. We are also the joint lead agency for Broadwater Children's Centre. We have a dedicated staff team, lovely children and very supportive governors. Roebuck School joined the Hart Schools trust and became an Academy in July 2017.
