About Bualnaluib Primary School

"Bualnaluib Primary School is situated overlooking Loch Ewe in Wester Ross and is approximately 1 mile from the village of Aultbea, on the shore road leading to Mellon Charles. The school building is in an ideal position with panoramic views of the loch, Isle of Ewe and the Torridon Mountains.

The school building has two classrooms, one for P4-7 and one for P1-3, a dining hall (meals cooked on the premises) and a staffroom/school office. Both classrooms are newly painted and had new flooring laid in 2009. Our nursery is located in a new, purpose built building which is off campus and is situated a mile away in the village of Aultbea. We use the nearby commuity hall and sport's field for PE. There is a varied selection of small play equipment for outdoor use and we also have large play equipment such as our role play house, swing crossing and traverse wall. There is a wildlife garden and herb garden and we are continuously developing these. Each class has access to a wide and varied selection of fiction/non-fiction library books. A mobile library van visits the school regularly.

We make extensive use of the surrounding environment to promote learning and join with other primary schools in our local area to participate in a wide range of sporting, musical and topic based activities."
