Following the exciting UK City of Culture year in Hull, we are seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about music education and able to lead the highly regarded and thriving Hull Music Service. You will lead a team providing both high quality support to schools and city-wide opportunities for young musicians to develop and perform at the highest level. This includes leadership of the Hull Music Hub.
The post will build on the existing strategic vision and provide clear and inspirational leadership to the Hull Music Service and Hull Music Hub, maximising the impact of our work for all children and young people in the City of Hull.
You will be able to offer:
- inspirational advocacy of music education and a vision of its future;
- a proven track record of leading music education and of wider leadership and management in an education and/or local authority setting;
- comprehensive knowledge and understanding of music education;
- an ability to maintain, and build on, positive relationships with existing funding partners, whilst developing new sources of funding;
- This post will require travel, and at times, evening and weekend work.
