Teaching ServiceGeorges River College Penshurst Girls Campus (enrolment 521, 77% NESB) is a comprehensive school for girls 7-10. The school is a diverse and inclusive middle school and is well known for excellence in girls’ education. Penshurst Girls Campus has a focus on quality teaching, high potential and gifted education and learning support within an environment where technology is embedded. Penshurst Girls Campus is a high performing school with a strong learning culture and high expectations of students. The successful applicant will be appointed to Georges River College and initially based at Penshurst Girls Campus.
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Demonstrated ability to lead staff to deliver high quality evidence informed teaching and learning programs that build student engagement and support high expectations of student learning achievement.
Ability to lead a faculty team in providing engaging and challenging differentiated programs to meet diverse student learning and wellbeing needs, including the needs of high potential and gifted students requiring learning support.
Highly developed capacity to lead change based on an understanding of current pedagogical and evidence-informed practices for teachers with a diverse range of skills and experiences.
Highly developed ability to work successfully and productively with the school's executive team to analyse data and to lead, implement and support whole school priorities and strategic directions.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
