Teaching ServiceOxley High School (approximately 1100 students; 234 Aboriginal students) is a vibrant educational setting focused on innovatively meeting the learning needs of all students. Oxley High School prides itself on academic, vocational, the creative and performing arts, sport and student leadership. We have a close connection to the community through academic, social, sporting and cultural achievements. It is renowned for producing students of national and international recognition and consistently high HSC achievement with students attaining and ATAR above 90. Through consistent programs of student improvement during school the majority of the students leave with strong HSC results. Historically, well in excess of 60% of the HSC cohort will attend university. A key feature of the school is the commitment of students, staff and community to an expansive curriculum, including extra-curricular activities, which allows students to achieve to their personal and academic best. Oxley High School has a middle and senior school structure and a Clontarf Academy.
Capacity to lead a diverse Mathematics faculty with the capability to support and mentor staff in innovative pedagogy, catering for Gifted and Talented, Low SES and mainstream students.
Enthusiastic, proactive leadership with strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students, teachers, parents and the wider school community.
Demonstrate capacity to work collaboratively as an effective member of the School Executive Team to lead initiatives that contribute to whole school strategic priorities including Numeracy, Literacy, Restorative Practices, Stage 6 performance and high attendance.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
