The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly skilled Head Teacher with a track record of sustained school improvement, as well as proven success in implementing imaginative approaches to teaching and learning, pupil behaviour and well-being. Pembroke School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with over 1200 pupils. We serve young people across the ability range, including up to thirty pupils in our on site autism centre. We are looking to appoint a leader who shares our commitment to improving the outcomes of all pupils, regardless of background or ability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative leader to help lead us through the next stage of our improvement journey. You will work with us to further develop high levels of service provided to students, parents and the local community.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Outstanding leadership skills capable of inspiring the school’s senior leadership team, staff and students.
  • A willingness and a capacity to deliver change, whilst successfully guiding us through the changing educational landscape.
  • A clear vision of what outstanding education looks like and the ambition and ability to achieve and maintain excellent status for the school.
  • Strength, resilience, flexibility, a commitment to succeed and a relish for challenge.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
