Teaching ServiceMiller Technology High School is a comprehensive high school located in Sydney South West with an enrolment of approximately 670 students, with 82% of students from Language Backgrounds Other than English (LBOTE) and 9% Aboriginal students. A well-established Intensive English Centre is located onsite provides English instruction and cultural orientation for new arrivals, refugees and international students. A Support Faculty established in 2015 provides high quality educational experiences for students with special learning needs.
The school has a low socio-economic status with a strong focus on quality teaching, literacy, numeracy, engagement and connected learning. Our students have access to a broad curriculum with our Positive Behaviour for Learning core values of Respect, Inspire, Safe and Excel supporting an inclusive learning environment to aspire students to be the best they can possibly be.

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Approval to teach Science and evidence of successful teaching experience in Stage 6 Science.
Demonstrated capacity to lead teachers in devloping innovative, high quality teaching and learning programs and assessment practices that lead to improved student outcomes.
Capacity to lead and support the implementation of evidence-based teaching practices to improve achievement and engagement for a range of student needs and abilities, including Aborignal and LBOTE students.
Demonstrated capacity to work as a dynamic member of the executive leadership team to achieve whole school Strategic Directions.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills to promote a cohesive, dynamic team environment.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
