A unique opportunity to live and work overseas, within an English school system.

Our well established Secondary School is seeking to recruit an individual who is experienced, enthusiastic, creative, and driven to take the role of Head Teacher in December 2017.  The successful applicant will work closely with the Deputy, the Senior Leadership Team and the Education Board of the Falkland Islands to lead the wider team and build upon the school’s recent progress towards becoming a good school.

We are looking for a Head Teacher who:

  • Believes in child centred education
  • Is able to generate a sense of collegiate purpose amongst colleagues and maintains a positive attitude to secure continuous improvement
  • Successfully leads teams and whole school initiatives
  • Positively influences the quality of teaching and learning through effective monitoring and assessment alongside supportive coaching and mentoring
  • Analyses data to inform resource deployment and professional development needs
