William Cobbett Primary School is looking for an experienced Headteacher or Senior Leader to lead this large, successful primary school on the journey from good to outstanding.

We are seeking:

• An individual who will inspire and motivate our teachers and support staff whilst ensuring

well-being is at the centre of the school

• A leader who is committed to the school culture of inclusivity whilst simultaneously driving

up standards, demonstrating ambition for all pupils

• A determined and resilient professional who is able to motivate, enthuse and inspire others

and is passionate about developing staff and providing opportunities for growth

• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills who will work collaboratively

with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors and build effective relationships with all

• An empathetic character who will be approachable and visible around school

William Cobbett Primary School is a large school, across two adjoining sites with approximately 500 children. It has a High COIN centre for pupils with social communication difficulties including autism.

There is a happy and positive atmosphere in our school: the children are curious and keen to learn and we have talented and dedicated teachers and support staff. Our vision at the school is to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive community where children feel valued for what they bring and are all able to achieve their potential.

Due to retirement, we are losing our much-loved and respected Headteacher and are looking externally for someone to join us and continue our journey of growth to excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the appointment at the start of the Autumn Term 2021.
