As a Head of Teaching and Learning you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing policies, procedures, strategies and plans to ensure high quality Teaching, Learning & Assessment (TLA) is delivered consistently across the college.

You will:

  • maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators to drive quality improvement strategies with particular reference to TLA.
  • monitor progress towards meeting targets set out in all QIP’s with particular reference to TLA.
  • be responsible for the strategy, development, coordination, implementation and impact monitoring of an effective personal development programme for all teaching staff.
  • line manage the Teaching Improvement Managers (TIMs)

We are looking for someone with proven experience of successfully leading quality improvement programmes covering TLA, has a strong knowledge and an excellent understanding of the Ofsted Inspection and QAA Review Framework and the ability to lead others through inspirational and engaging leadership which commands respect and provides an environment where others feel motivated. You will have highly developed communication, liaison and networking skills.

About Westminster Kingsway College

Westminster Kingsway College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Westminster, serving pupils from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 14,000 students on record every year.

Westminster Kingsway College was founded in 2000 after the amalgamation of Westminster College and Kingsway College. It has learning centres across London in King’s Cross, Regents Park, Camden, Victoria and Soho. It offers students a number of full and part time courses including A levels and vocational courses at Level 1, 2, and 3. The college provides training on behalf of a range of organisations, including South Bank University, Compass Limited, Travelodge, The British Council and Ministry of Defence.
