Job overview

Hours: 10 hours per week during term time, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (to be agreed) plus 30 hours during the holidays.

Experienced domestic housekeeper / cleaner wanted to work in the Headmaster’s home, set in the beautiful grounds of Uppingham School (Uppingham LE15 9QE). You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness are maintained at all times.

The ability to take direction, and be completely discreet and trustworthy, with a courteous and friendly manner is essential.

Work is generally presented neatly and pupils’ note-taking is effective. They develop good numeracy skills and their capacity to think critically is notable. Creative abilities are well developed and their exploration of ideas is particularly marked in their enrichment activities. Pupils’ study habits are good. In the lessons observed, pupils worked very well with each other, and also worked well independently. They enjoy their work and this stems in part from the good-natured atmosphere in lessons. Pupils use information and communications technology (ICT) proficiently.”
