Job overview

Our current Headteacher is retiring after 5 successful years at Arley Primary School; we are looking for new leader to build on the strengths and achievements of our school.

Are you an inspirational and innovative Headteacher who can lead our thriving and highly regarded school on the next stage of its journey?

Our school is part of the small community of New Arley, nestled in North Warwickshire; playing an important role in the village and is proud to retain the character and community commitment of a ‘village school.’ The school’s catchment area is predominantly from the villages of New Arley, Old Arley and Ansley but attracts children from the wider community.

Judged as Good in all five Ofsted categories in February 2019; we work hard together, have children who excel, and we are proud of our achievements, having high aspirations for all.

We currently have approximately 221 children on roll, with 8 full time teachers and 3 part time teachers. The school is organised into 9 classes and a morning Nursery provision.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• an exceptional leader with a passion for education and with high levels of emotional intelligence and resilience

• an enthusiastic lead learner who is able to inspire, empower and motivate our strong staff to deliver the highest quality teaching and learning

• a strategic thinker with a clear focus and proven track record of continuous improvement

• an outstanding practitioner who has the highest expectations and is committed to inclusivity and the development of the whole child, to achieve the best outcomes for the school and its pupils

• an excellent communicator with empathy and strong interpersonal skills, who works collaboratively and effectively with wider partnerships to continue the journey in building local and national collaborative partnerships

• Recognises the crucial role played by the school in the wider, close knit community and is able to communicate our vision to it and to all stakeholders.

WE CAN OFFER:

• enthusiastic, passionate and enquiring children with a really positive attitude to learning and a sense of fun

• a well-established, dedicated and experienced staff team

• an attractive, well-resourced and happy learning environment with an amazing, new high quality building

• high standards, broad extracurricular provision and excellent outcomes for pupils

• very supportive parents

• strong committed governing board

"Pupils try hard to reflect the school’s core values and they ‘inspire to excel’. They are proud to attend Arley Primary School and their behaviour reflects this." Ofsted
