Job overview

Trinity is an all-through Church of England school with a distinctive Christian ethos, welcoming and nurturing girls and boys aged 4 – 16 years old of all faiths and none, within the community of Lewisham, SE London. Our small size and inclusive family atmosphere provides a uniquely supportive environment in which all children are challenged and motivated to excel.

This is an exciting time for Trinity. Based on two sites one mile apart, Trinity Primary opened in 2013 and is growing one year at a time towards its full capacity of 480 pupils; Trinity Secondary (11-16) has 600 students. As years 4, 5 and 6 fill up, we are looking for a leader with the vision to reap the benefits of connecting the primary and secondary curriculum to become an all through school.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an exceptional leader to have enormous impact by embedding best practice and communication between both phases and helping us to continue our improving trajectory from good to outstanding. A leader who will continue to develop our teaching and curriculum so that every child achieves their full potential, experiences personal success and is prepared for the best possible next step in their education.

We seek a Headteacher who is highly ambitious for students, a strategic thinker with proven senior leadership credentials. Indeed, we seek a leader with the energy, passion and resilience to transform students’ lives through education.

If you are an ambitious leader looking to extend your experience of Headship or start your first Headship in an environment where students and teachers matter, then we would love to hear from you.

Applications are sought from practising Christians. Equally, others committed to supporting the Christian ethos of the school are warmly invited to apply.

Closing date: Monday 15 May at Midday

Shortlisting: Wednesday 17 May

Interviews: Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 May

Values and vision

Trinity All Through School aims to be a strong Christian community in which children and adults flourish. It aims to be a place where pupils achieve the very best educational outcomes, enabling them to make good life choices and to take their place as citizens of the wider world.

As far as learning goes, the school believes in vocation and seeks to enable children to explore their choices in careers and relationships. The school models itself as a 'grammar-style school’, aiming to offer the very best for every child within a formal, traditional academic framework enriched by sport, music and art.

Leadership is encouraged at all levels of the school and students have opportunities to exercise leadership. Trinity All Through School also strongly believes that formality, in its public events and relationships, helps students by building character and an appreciation of structure.

Ofsted report
