The Governing Body wish to appoint an ambitious educationalist to lead this outstanding, highly successful, vibrant school, building upon the significant achievements of the Headteacher, who is retiring after thirteen years’ distinguished service. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader who will nurture all that is remarkable at Aylesbury High School, inspiring staff and students alike to excel.

Aylesbury High School is a popular girls’ selective school with 1302 on roll including 389 in the sixth form. The school has been judged 'Outstanding’ in every aspect by Ofsted. Examination results at GCSE consistently place the school amongst the best in the county. The school is proud of its designation as a Teaching School.

The Governing Body is seeking a Headteacher who:

  • Has a proven track record of strategic leadership, demonstrating financial acumen, and a proactive approach to maximising opportunities for the school.
