We are a vibrant, popular and successful mixed comprehensive school in the heart of the stunning countryside of the Peak District National Park.  The school serves a wide rural catchment area encompassing many villages and the small town of Bakewell.  Bakewell is a market town, 8 miles from Matlock, 12 miles from Buxton and Chesterfield, and 14 miles from Sheffield.  The housing available within the area is varied covering a range of prices and environments.

Our students are highly motivated and enthusiastic learners who are keen to excel.  They enhance their time at school through involvement in our many extra-curricular clubs, activities and enrichment opportunities.  The thriving Sixth Form of 258 students is a real strength of the school and we have recently improved our ALPs score to 2.
