Oakleigh School is excited to welcome applications for the position of Headteacher. Due to the planned retirement of the current Headteacher after 9 years of service, governors are looking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher who will continue the outstanding legacy of the school and lead it through its new phase of development. We will renumerate you with outer London Pay Group 6 (£80,944 - £111,406) depending on experience based.

Oakleigh School is an extremely popular and oversubscribed maintained community special school in the London Borough of Barnet for pupils from early years to 11 with highly complex special educational needs and disabilities. The need for special needs places in the area is significant with children’s needs being ever more complex.
Your role will cover leadership of:
· 132 children at the main school in Oakleigh Park which is the primary location for this post as well as secondary satellite provision at Queenswell School nearby
· 44 children attending Acorn Assessment Units at Queenswell and Colindale Schools
· Barnet Early Years Advisory SEND provision who have responsibility for 180 children on their caseloads as well as 40 children on specialist pathways and over 200 receiving support in some way.
· 175 staff including teaching, educational support, therapeutic and administrative.
Most children on the Oakleigh roll are identified to have Autism / SCLN needs with 16 identified as having PMLD and 25% as having SLD needs. The school has grown in the last 10 years and continues to have a demand for places year on year. Of note 54 of the 132 children on the school roll are pupil premium children.
As our Headteacher, you will have the support from:

ü London Borough of Barnet Learning Network Inspectorate.
