Headteacher

The Governors of Bearwood Primary School are looking to appoint an inspirational headteacher who can maintain our warm, safe and caring family environment of which we are very proud. Our headteacher will need to meet all of the National Standards of Excellence for Headteachers as set out in the Four Domains.

To realise our ambition, vision and values we are looking for someone who:

• has experience as a primary classroom teacher, preferably across a range of years
• has experience of at least Acting or Deputy Head level of leadership in a primary setting
• has an initial Teacher Qualification with evidence of additional training and development
• will communicate and promote Bearwood Primary School to become the school of choice in the local community
• will act as an effective role model, promoting exemplary behaviour across the school community, creating a professional and caring ethos where all individuals are respected
• is an inspirational leader who recognises and motivates emerging talent in the school community and can build open, productive relationships with all stakeholders.
• can demonstrate excellent strategic abilities ensuring the optimum use of data and resources in leading the school to achieve effective child-centred outcomes
• will challenge all in the school to reach their goals, instilling a strong sense of aspiration and accountability
• has demonstrable knowledge and experience of school systems which drive improvement
