We strive to develop confident and resilient scholars who have a life-long love of learning and make positive contributions to society

Beths Grammar School is a selective school for boys aged 11 to 16, and co-educational 16-18, in the Bexley and Kent area. We provide an exciting, purposeful and vibrant learning environment that challenges and supports all our students to thrive and achieve their potential. Students enjoy a rigorous, engaging and diverse curriculum which delivers the highest standards of education and makes us the selective and inclusive school of choice.

Our inclusive ethos is encapsulated in our values of Excellence, Community and Respect, which are built on our rich heritage as a school. These are at the heart of all we do for our students, helping us to foster a compassionate, close-knit school community where we all share the same high expectations, standards and care for our students and staff.

The school is seeking an innovative, creative and visionary leader to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to make a positive impact on the lives and experiences of students, parents/carers and the wider community.

We are looking for a leader to continue the inspirational work achieved so far and to take the school to yet greater heights. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on the solid foundations of high achievement and aspiration. We are proud of our school but recognise that we cannot afford to be complacent.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to leading teaching

  • Be a visionary to chart a route that delivers academic excellence while providing students with opportunities to realise their full potential and their aspirations

  • Be creative and have a capacity for innovation

  • Be committed to nurturing and supporting the array of talent across the whole school community - students and staff alike

Key opportunities to have impact:

  • Work with all stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for the future of Beths to benefit all our students

  • Improve outcomes for students, closing any performance gaps

  • Develop additional strong links with local primary schools

  • Further raise the profile of Beths to establish the school as the first choice grammar school within the area
