Job overview

Heartlands Academy is a vibrant and successful place of learning. It is one of 28 E-ACT academies across England. We are committed to developing rounded, respectful, ambitious young people who are ready to succeed and have an established reputation for doing so.

At Heartlands, we serve a diverse community with high levels of deprivation. A supportive and welcoming atmosphere combined with well-established routines, enable our students to consistently achieve exceptional outcomes.  We are keen to grow and develop the school further and there is a clear demand for us to do so. This includes allowing students to study with us in our 6th Form from 2024.

We are looking for a visionary leader who places curriculum and the love of learning at the heart of everything they do. Our community deserves no less. With a track record of successful school leadership, you will have a personal values set that matches our own. You may well be a Deputy looking to step up to a role at this level for the first time. We have the capacity to support such a transition for a talented leader. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Headteacher who is excited by the opportunity to lead and develop pedagogy in a high-quality school. Either way, your ability to lead others is a strength and will set you apart from others.

We have learnt a great deal as MATs have evolved over time and are all very excited about our next phase of growth and development. We care deeply about delivering the highest quality of education for our young people.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new Headteacher to embed high quality pedagogy across the Academy and enthuse our students to challenge themselves in all aspects of their learning. Download full details on the role from https://www.pentir.com/roles/heartlands

For a confidential discussion, please call our advising consultants at Pentir - Mike Phillips (07830 313 915) or Maureen Nicholas (07540 222 519).

E-ACT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks and satisfactory references. E-ACT is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Closing date: Tuesday 11th April 12.00 noon.
