Job overview

Closing date: Apply by noon on the Friday, 3rd March 2017

Baines’ Endowed is a Church of England Academy which serves the local community. It is linked with St Paul's Church, Marton and a part of the Diocese of Blackburn. A warm, welcoming and caring Christian atmosphere is the hallmark of our school. In March 2015 we became an Academy within Cidari (Blackburn Diocese Multi Academy Trust). As a member of a family of academies, we work alongside other church schools both in Blackpool and
further afield to continue to raise standards whilst preserving the very distinctive Christian
ethos we hold dear.

Continually improving since its last Ofsted inspection, the Academy has strived to ensure
that pupils receive the best possible education and that staff are challenged and developed
to strive for excellence. The recent DfE Monitoring Visits and ‘Good’ SIAMS inspection in
June 2015 confirmed the improvement achieved.

Through our vision of ‘With God’s help we work, grow and succeed together’, our academy
has built a reputation for continuing improvement within an environment where children
are nurtured and loved. Building on traditional Christian values we are now looking for the
right individual who will lead us to the next stage in our development.

We are seeking to appoint a committed leader with drive and inspirational vision, who
promotes the ethos of our academy. You will continue to build upon the many considerable
improvements made over recent years and take Baines’ Endowed Primary School &
Children’s Centre to the next level of attainment and achievement.

This is an exciting time for our Academy and a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate
to join our organisation and our academy, the Trust’s and their own ambitions and
aspirations. You will be supported by the wider family of schools and a central team within
the Trust; dedicated to giving you the means to deliver real improvement and achieve our
core mission of providing “high quality education for all children based on clearly
established Christian values and principles”.
