Boston West Academy is a successful, happy and inclusive 4 -11 primary academy in Boston, South Lincolnshire. Having being judged as outstanding by Ofsted in 2016, we are proud of what we have achieved in the past few years. We are now excited to welcome a new Headteacher to our team.

At Boston West we endeavour to create a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for every child to reach their full potential. We are committed to developing our pupils both individually and as team players, able to work collaboratively in their learning. Our high expectations and high quality teaching, allow our children to achieve and become inquisitive, motivated and passionate lifelong learners.

Boston West Academy is part of CfBT Schools Trust (CST), a family of 16 schools bound together by its collaborative approach; its evidence-informed teaching; and an emphasis on continuous learning for all. CST is sponsored by Education Development Trust, a not-for-profit international education company that transforms lives by improving education around the world.

We are looking to appoint a Headteacher with a proven track record as a senior leader: maybe a Headteacher looking for a new challenge or a someone with experience as Deputy Principal / Deputy Headteacher. The post holder will deliver inspirational and motivational leadership across the academy to secure the current high performance during a period of exception growth. As a senior leader in our multi-academy trust, the post-holder would be expected to embrace CST’s collaborative ethos and work closely with other schools across the Trust.

In addition to a competitive salary, we can offer high quality leadership mentoring and development from a CST Regional Director and cross-Trust peer support. We have allocated a personal CPD budget for the new Headteacher, to support them in their first year in post. We would also consider a relocation package for the right candidate.

Our school is proud to be part of Anthem, a multi-academy trust that creates ambitious and successful schools where every child thrives.

We are a forward-thinking, innovative primary school with a passion for learning beyond the classroom. Much of our curriculum is taught outdoors in our inspirational and award-winning educational school grounds.

At Boston West Academy, we believe that strong, positive relationships provide the foundations for a school to flourish. We enjoy ‘working together for success’ within an optimistic and positive culture of excellence.

A key element of our school‘s culture is the ethos of care: care for oneself, for others and for the environment. Our over-arching value of care is underpinned by four other core values: collaboration, attitude, respect and equality (CARE).  We are an outward-facing school and embrace collaboration with others so that we can secure excellent achievements for our children. We continually strive to provide innovative experiences, inside and outside the classroom, that make learning fun.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, visitors, and volunteers to share in this commitment. All post holders are subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, suitable references, and other essential checks.
