Green Lane is a three-form entry, 3-11 school in the Manningham district of Bradford.  We are very proud of our historic building, the site of the first subsidised school meals in the country.  We have recently renovated an old part of the building where the Edwardian kitchens were located, to provide up-to-date cooking, dining and teaching spaces and a proposed high spec gym and leisure area.

At Green Lane we are committed to developing the learning skills that pupils will need for life. Our emphasis is on praising ‘good’ behaviour choices.  Our aim is to create an atmosphere where effective learning can take place, all pupils have the right to learn and teachers have the right to teach.

Our children deserve the best.  Our staff shares a commitment to raising children’s academic achievement.  At the same time we believe in broadening their outlook and raising their expectations from life by giving them a taste of adventure with an increasing programme of outdoor activities like caving and mountain biking.  Our hard work has been recognised with a number of prestigious awards, including IiP, ICT Mark and Healthy Schools award.
