The Governing Body of Alperton Community School (ACS) is actively seeking an exceptional Headteacher to champion our commitment to providing an outstanding education and realising the full potential of each student.

As a Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in achieving our strategic objectives, ensuring exceptional academic outcomes for over 1900 students, including a vibrant Sixth Form. Our inclusive school, reflecting a diverse local community, has consistently achieved academic success, earning a 'Good' rating from Ofsted in 2021, with a Progress 8 score significantly above average.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining ACS's exceptional learning environment characterised by outstanding pastoral support and a commitment to continual improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the leadership team to ensure effective management and continuous development
  • Ensuring financial stability to provide a secure foundation for educational initiatives
  • Determining, implementing, and reviewing the curriculum to ensure breadth, balance, and relevance for all students
  • Establishing and maintaining ambitious expectations for all students, including those with additional and special educational needs and disabilities
  • Promoting the health and wellbeing of all students, staff, and volunteers
  • Ensuring a safe environment for all students and staff
  • Fostering a supportive atmosphere and promoting exceptional opportunities for all students and staff
