Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to join the Academy in September 2017.

We are looking for an individual with a strong track record of performance, who relishes the opportunity to lead in all areas of education, and is driven by establishing a culture of pupil and staff happiness, high achievement, safety and personal growth. You may be a Deputy Head who has led on curriculum or teaching and learning, or an established Headteacher who is excited by our model of leadership.

The E-ACT leadership model allows Headteachers to focus on what they do best - improving the performance of staff, pupils and the academy’s reach in the local community. The operational management of the school is run by a Regional Operations Director, meaning that they will be responsible for budget management, estates management, line management of operational support staff or ICT in the academy.

Chalfont Valley E-ACT Primary Academy is a successful academy judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2016.

At Chalfont Valley, we aim to create a safe, secure and academically challenging learning environment where children feel valued and happy. We are a one-form entry primary Academy with pupils from nursery through to Year 6. Our pupils are taught in mixed-age classes with Year 1 and Year 2 being single-aged classes. Presently a small school, we have capacity to grow to two-form entry over time.

“The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is consistently good in all classes.”
