The Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher with a genuine passion for education who will build upon the successes of the School under the leadership of Jean Ross, who retires at the end of this academic year.

St Mary’s is a thriving girls’ day school educating girls from 4 – 18. It is situated close to the centre of the pleasant, leafy town of Gerrards Cross, in attractive grounds with fine historic buildings sitting alongside contemporary developments. The emphasis here is very much on the individual and ensuring that each girl achieves her best, whatever her ability. A highly motivated, committed and talented staff ensure the delivery of an excellent education, with above average examination results. There is a strong emphasis on learning beyond the classroom and the work of the School is empowered by a strong team of governors and a very supportive parent body.

St Mary’s is ideally placed for access to the M25 and M40, as well as mainline train services to London.

St Mary’s School is all-through independent school for girls aged 3 -18, located in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Established in 1872, the school provides for day pupils and its grounds feature a number of old and ornate buildings. 

A selective institution, St Mary’s requires potential applicants to pass a series of examinations across a broad range of subjects, as well as provide positive references from their current school.
