The Brooksbank School is a large, popular, oversubscribed and financially secure comprehensive school. It was graded Good by Ofsted in November 2016. It has strong foundations in place and provides a very good education for all its 1,814 students, 350 of whom are in our flourishing sixth form. The Brooksbank School is a stand-alone academy, which is a founder member of The Valley Learning Partnership. We are now seeking a new Headteacher to build on these strong foundations and to lead the school forward.
We believe in creating exciting opportunities in order to broaden minds and nurture talent.
By providing our students with an inspirational programme of learning opportunities and extra-curricular activities, which far exceeds the requirements of the National Curriculum, we aim to inspire our students to Aspire and Achieve. We are proud to be the school that serves the greater Elland community together with our 10 feeder primary schools.
We are seeking a leader committed to the highest possible academic standards for our students while maintaining our school’s unique ethos. With demonstrable leadership experience in a comparable organisation your personal qualities will set you apart. You will be a highly effective communicator with the tenacity to drive the education standards of students.
We will provide you with support and the resources you need to build on our strong foundations. You will provide opportunities for all students to reach the highest standards possible. You will be leading an excellent team of 250 teachers and support staff.
