The Bridge is a pupil referral unit in Cheshire West and Chester and supports the needs of Cheshire West and Cheshire children and young people who are experiencing problems on their educational journey. Some may have been excluded from the mainstream school, others may be at risk of exclusion and others have for various reasons found themselves without a school place. We currently support the needs of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with 50 places split over two sites, in Ellesmere Port and Northwich.
We are looking for a Headteacher who has a clear vision for alternative provision, who can inspire our school community and has a strong commitment to allow our students to achieve their potential.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record of leading a school through a period of strategic and operational change. Clearly there will be challenges to embrace but we feel the school is well placed to build on our successes and continue on with the next steps in the future development of the school.
Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
