Dorin Park School is a specialist all-age school for children and young people with complex learning needs, including medical and physical difficulties. The school is situated in Upton-by-Chester in pleasant, leafy surroundings and a popular choice with parents and is rated as Good by Ofsted. Dorin Park is a school with a real sense of community we really are a school family. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming school with a strong emphasis on pastoral care alongside holistic education tailored to the needs of the individual pupil building confidence and independence skills. Our pupils are hard-working and delightful, and the staff team of over 90 are dedicated and supportive. 


The role

This is an exciting opportunity. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and resilient Head teacher to lead our successful and popular specialist school.  You will have a passion for working with pupils with special educational needs and their families. You will be able to inspire and unite staff in our drive to achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils. You will be a skilled and experienced leader with energy, a sense of fairness and strength of purpose. You will be experienced in working in a multi-agency environment to support children and young people’s education, health and care needs. The role will also involve working closely with other mainstream and specialist settings to develop innovative ways of supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs within the local area.
