Job overview

Headteacher

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK.

With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Eastwood Grange is a day school that provides a high quality of education for up to 50 boys and girls from the ages of 5 to 18.  All our pupils have education, health and care plans and experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. We are a forward looking and innovative school that seek to transform the lives of the pupils in our care.  The introduction of girls and a lower age group is new and has been achieved through a complete refurbishment and material change to the school. This will bring exciting and new challenges and opportunities to the right candidate.

A qualified teacher, preferably holding an NPQH – you will demonstrate a wide range of SEN experience and have proven leadership and management expertise. You will know how to inspire exceptional performance and maintain a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for pupils and colleagues alike. You will lead and manage a senior team ensuring the development and implementation of the curriculum and education programmes through the process of continuous improvements, the effective use of self-assessment methods and the efficient deployment of staff.

The ability to engage commissioners and provide assurance that the highest quality of service leading to outstanding outcomes for children is being delivered at the school.  Working in partnership with parents/carers and the community is also a vital part of this role and the development of the school.

If you share our determination to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our pupils, we can promise you a collaborative culture, ongoing professional development and ample scope to use your creativity and initiative as part of a highly energised and supportive team

Visits are strongly recommended. Please contact Jayne on 01246 590 255 to discuss further.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Our aim is to help our students understand their problems, identify and implement ways of alleviating them and enable them to achieve their full potential.

We strive to reverse the downward spiral of failure often experienced by our young people and to replace it with optimism through finely graded, achievable goals. We believe that positive approaches produce positive changes, which can compensate for past failure and prepare youngsters for the future.
