Edmonton Academy Trust is delighted to announce the opening of a new school - Salmon’s Brook Free School (Group 5 when full) - and is seeking to appoint the Headteacher Designate.

This new school will open in September 2022 providing a high quality education for up to 70 children aged 11-18 with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). This provides the right candidate with the ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to open a new school and to shape the school ethos. Experience in special education is an advantage but not essential. We think the ability to create a therapeutic approach whilst maintaining the academic ambition for children is the most important attribute.

Your first tasks will be to oversee the school construction, design the curriculum and recruit your staff.

The closing date for applications is 9am, Monday 10 May 2021. Shortlisting takes place on 13 and 14 May 2021 with interviews on 26 and 27 May 2021.
