Job overview

Lampard Community School is a Special School with 120 students aged 5 to 16. Our students have complex needs and learning difficulties with communication and interaction (including SLCN and ASD).

Our vision is “To be a centre of excellence for students with complex needs and support other practitioners develop good practise across the region”.

We work closely with parents, carers and other agencies to give every student high quality education and care. Lampard has experienced and well qualified staff who are dedicated to meeting the educational needs of all students.

Governors are seeking to appoint a new headteacher for September, who will lead this ‘good’ school to ‘outstanding’ while maintaining the unique culture and ethos of the school.

It is desirable for applicants to have expertise in the education of pupils who have learning difficulties and those who have complex communication needs.

We warmly welcome informal visits prior to shortlisting where you will have the opportunity to have a tour of the school. Please contact Alison Rubenchik, School Business Manager on 01271 318000 to make arrangements.
